Role of the Noise Risk Assessor in Noise Risk Assessment (NRA):
The Noise Risk Assessor is the qualified person responsible for conducting the Noise Risk Assessment (NRA) at workplaces as mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health (Noise) Regulations 2019. Employers must appoint a competent NRA to carry out the Noise Risk Assessment (NRA) and ensure compliance with the standards set by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).

Responsibilities of the Noise Risk Assessor during Noise Risk Assessment (NRA):
The NRA must perform the Noise Risk Assessment (NRA) within their valid registration period, ensuring that all noise measuring equipment used is properly calibrated and valid for the assessment. The NRA is also required to notify the Director of the respective DOSH state office at least 14 days before conducting any Noise Risk Assessment (NRA). After completing the Noise Risk Assessment (NRA), the NRA must provide the employer with a detailed report and present recommendations on noise control within 30 days. Additionally, a summary report of the Noise Risk Assessment (NRA) must be submitted to the Director General within the same timeframe.
